Windows behind altar

The Chancel Windows designed by Mary Anne Heimsath, were designed to reflect The Life of Christ.

The left window is the Epiphany Window.  The Advent Wreath, the Nativity, the Shepherds, and the Epiphany Star speak of God’s revelation in Christ.

The second from the left window speaks of ‘Behold the Lamb of God’.  The Shell speaks of Jesus’ Baptism, the Towel and Basin represent his ministry, and the Well of Living Water represents his miracles and teachings.

The center window is The Crucifixion.  The lower panel of the window represents the Earthquake, the center panel represents the Darkness, and the third panel speaks of His death bringing Wholeness and Healing.  The Metal Cross mounted on the window frame, was made by Lanne Brehmer.

The Easter Window has the Easter Lilies announcing His resurrection.  The Easter Cross shows the white burial cloth with the risen and ascending Lord, the King of Kings.

The Pentecost Window shows the Holy Spirit coming to rest on each believer as the ministry of Jesus is now transferred to the new Body of Christ, the Church and its ministry of Word and Sacrament.
