Annual Turkey Project

Annual Turkey Project 2021

Wednesday, November 24

“Christian Men of Boerne” is a group of men from various churches here in Boerne that gather on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving to prepare 400 Turkey Dinners for the needy in Boerne.

It’s that time of year again, the men of St John will be participating in the Turkey Project along with eight other area churches to feed the needy in Boerne.  St John has committed to provide 40 meals this year. The Turkey Day Project will take place on Wednesday, November 24 at the Kendall County Fair Grounds.  We will be collecting donations to purchase the needed supplies.

We will be collecting money to purchase turkeys, boxed goods, canned goods, rolls, and pies. We are looking to get a donation of $25/meal to purchase the needed supplies.

A table will be set up in the Narthex on Sunday to collect donations.

You can also make a check out to St John Lutheran and write ‘Turkey Day’ in the memo section and drop it in the offering plate on Sunday.

Or donate online now using the button link below and adding an amount to the ‘Men’s Turkey Project’ fund.

Please note, after all expenses have been paid, any remaining money will go to the Tuesday Men’s Breakfast group for a project that they see fit.

Attention Men of St John

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!

St John is one of many churches that are participating this year.

We are in need of men that would be willing to fry turkeys out at the Fair Grounds on the November 24 from 8 am to 12 pm.

If you would like to be involved in this great outreach project, please contact Bart Graves on his cell: (210) 861-2416 or via email: [email protected].
