April 4:  Women of the Word New Bible Study Our new study will be held on  Wednesdays from April 4 – May 30, 9am – 10:30am. The new study is a nine week bible study. Join us after Easter as we explore what it means to live in the power of the resurrection. We’ll be using Jen Wilkin’s Study of 1 Peter. Childcare is available. April 7: Taking It To The Streets – 5pm

April 9:  Happy Hearts 6pm. We will be taking a trip on Monday, April 9th to look at the spring flowers of the Hill Country of Texas! April 13-15: Teen Right to Life Camp at Camp Chrysalis.

April 15: Newcomer’s Luncheon and Start of New Members Classes. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a member of St. John Lutheran Church, please plan to attend the next New Members Class starting with a Newcomer’s Luncheon on April 15th. While the New Members Classes are designed for new members, Pastor Waters welcomes current members of St. John to attend, as well. These classes can serve as an excellent “refresher”. April 28: Wild Game Dinner. St. John’s Wild Game Dinner to raise money for local and international charities is set for April 28 at the Kendall County Fairgrounds with doors opening at 4:00 pm. This event features delicious wild game fare, door prizes, silent and live auctions, kids games, and more.Tickets are available at church or register online:



May 3: National Day of Prayer. 7pm in the Sanctuary.

May 4-7: Disaster Relief Trip to Rockport.

May 20: Senior Recognition Sunday.



June – August: Summer Sunday School. Our theme this year is “Incredible Faith”

June 11-15: Vacation Bible School, 9 am – 12 pm. Our theme this year is “Lego and Let God!”

June 17-22: Senior High Camp Eagle Group Adventure Camp.

June 24-29: Children’s Summer Bible Camp at Camp Chrysalis.
