Church Picnic

Sunday, October 14 – 2:00pm to 6:30pm

at the Balous and Julie Miller Ranch located at 28 Upper Balcones Rd.

(Turn right at Starbucks and it is about a mile down the road, on the right, immediately after crossing Menger Creek.)

We will serve Bill Miller’s BBQ and hot dogs/chips.
Tickets will be on sale beginning on Sunday, September 16th in the gathering place on Sunday or in the church office during the week.
BBQ tickets are $10 and hot dog tickets are $5.

This event is not just for kids. There will be fun and games for adults, as well. Planned activities include volleyball, train rides, paddles boats, canoes, kayaks, gaga ball, a bounce house, and pecan harvesting. Special events are a youth fishing tournament and a dessert bake-off with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes. Desserts for the bake-off contest must be turned in by 3pm for judging. Bait and cane poles will be provided for the fishing tournament or you can bring your own fishing tackle. We will be tables and chairs but it is recommended that you bring extras, just in case. Also bring dominos, playing cards, puzzles, checkers, etc.

Volunteers are needed!

We need volunteers to operate the train ride (engineer), to cook and serve the hot dogs (master chef), and judge the fishing tournament (game warden). We can also use plenty of help for setup and cleanup. There are additional volunteer opportunities. A sign-up sheet is in the gathering place or you can contact  Don Baker, [email protected], or 830-431-0521 (cell) for more information.
