Church Picnic 2019

Sunday, October 6 – 2:00pm to 6:30pm

at the Balous and Julie Miller Ranch located at 28 Upper Balcones Rd.

(Turn right at Starbucks and it is about a mile down the road, on the right, immediately after crossing Menger Creek.)

Tickets will be available in the Gathering Place on Sundays, beginning September 8 or in the church office during the week.

This year, tickets are FREE but we will need a head-count, so if you plan to go, please pick up your tickets at your earliest convenience.

The menu will consist of Bill Miller’s BBQ, pinto beans, potato salad, and dessert. We will also have hot dogs and potato chips.

This event is not just for kids. There will be fun and games for adults, as well. Planned activities include volleyball, train rides, paddles boats, canoes, kayaks, gaga ball, a bounce house, and pecan harvesting. Special events are a youth fishing tournament and a dessert bake-off with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes. Desserts for the bake-off contest must be turned in by 3pm for judging. Bait and cane poles will be provided for the fishing tournament or you can bring your own fishing tackle. We will be tables and chairs but it is recommended that you bring extras, just in case. Also bring dominos, playing cards, puzzles, checkers, etc.

Volunteers are needed!

There are many volunteer opportunities. The volunteer sign-up sheets will be on the table in the Gathering Place or click the link below to sign up right now!
